Two elderly jumping with Hopspots on the floor

Interactive tool that uses light, sound and 12 wireless spots for physical and mental training.

Getting people to move, do physical and mental training, play and have fun together.

Target group

Everyone in need of physical and mental training e.g. people suffering from dementia, handicapped, brain-damaged people etc.

Impact for citizen

Hopspots motivate users to move, do physical and mental training and to have fun with each other. They can practice both motor skills, memory, concentration, collaboration etc. Thus, users will develop stronger relationships with fellow citizens, get happier and become more mobile and able to do things on their own.

Impact for staff

Hopspots make it possible for users to start their physical and mental exercises on their own and to take the initiative themselves, also to spend more time with fellow citizens. Thus, staff will get more time on their hands as they won’t have to set everything up and get the users started with their Hopspots exercises and fun.

Economic impact

Citizens will remain strong and healthy for longer both physically and mentally thus postponing illness and effects of ageing. It will be easier for the staff etc. to help citizens remain strong and healthy and staff will get more time on their hands for other tasks as citizens can initiate and do the training on their own.

Experiences from practice

Great feedback from both users and staff who say that it is a brilliant tool for exercising and socializing. Users do physical and mental training without even noticing that they are training because it is so much fun. They come out of their homes voluntarily to exercise and spend time together with other citizens which they would normally not do anything together with.
Therapists also use Hopspots for people suffering from brain-damage or dementia or for rehabilitation, which it is also great for as the exercises can be programmed and targeted to any age or level.
