GLØD
A design lamp including a night light that is specially designed to assist people in need of light during night hours without affecting the circadian rhythm of the body. At the same time it is designed to ensure good lighting conditions for staff working at night.
GLØD is transportable, lightweight and rechargeable which makes it easy to carry with you e.g. to the bathroom.
At the AAL Forum we will show the latest version of GLØD and ask for input for future products.
Purpose
Ensure self-dependence and introduce security for older adults and people in need of light during night time without disturbing the circadian rhythm.

All in need of light during night hours, e.g. children, elderly, caregivers.

A lot of users experience more consecutive sleep patterns and calmness during night. Possible effects on overall well-being.

Experiences from practice (examples)
GLØD has been developed in partnership with over 60 families with small children. Moreover, it has been in test at 4 nursing homes in Aarhus and Copenhagen Municipalities.
