A holistic, scalable and market-ready AAL-product, smoothly delivered throughout the whole service lifecycle. The DAPAS project will bring together existing AAL products into one product.

Purpose

The DAPAS solution supports older adults with need for care as primary end-users and their involved carers or medical services. The project brings together successful outputs of previous AAL projects.

Target group

The product is mainly used by older adults and their informal and formal caregiver.

Impact for citizen

Many older adults experience problems in daily living because of chronic illness or disabilities. DAPAS supports older adults to become more independent in their daily life, helping to manage tasks, supporting mental health with cognitive training and is able to detect and monitor wellbeing.

Impact for staff

The DAPAS system makes it easier for formal and informal caregiver to get in touch with the older adults. Furthermore, elderly people can reach the caring relatives more easily in emergency situations. As a result, caregivers are more independent and do not have to be in close proximity at all times.

None. Specific features require specific requirements. But this can be adapted to the needs of the user. E.g. if the user wants to include the smart door lock. It has to be a special lock on the door.

Is the product for personal use or can it be used by (how) many people?

The product is mainly used by older adults and their informal and formal caregiver. The Caregivers can communicate with the older adult via a messaging system. The messages will be outputted via voice at the DAPAS solution at the home of older adults. The older adults The older adults can also communicate via a messenger on the tablet.

Is the product intended for training purposes?

Yes, DAPAS also includes serious games that provide a training opportunity for the older adult via a tablet.

How much time is needed for the user or staff to get to know how to use of the product?

The product DAPAS, both the app and the speech-based assistance system are specially tailored to the age group. This makes it simple and easy to use without much technical knowledge possible. Expected time: 15 min.
